Khroma is a quarterly zine based in Toledo, Ohio, with a focus on promoting topics in regional arts and humanities. We consider both local and national submissions. The project is a labor of love by alt-media editors Kelly Thompson and Emily Rippe-Desmond, along with the artists, writers, photographers and idea-people who contribute to each issue.
We accept content year-round for quarterly publication. Content received in advance of due dates (see below) will be considered for the next issue. Deadlines are firm.
Themes are announced in advance. We welcome fiction, nonfiction, poetry, personal essay, columnists, excerpts/chapters of longer works, photography, drawings, comics, etc.
Submissions that include hate speech, racist, sexist or homophobic remarks will not be considered.
Success of the project depends wholly on the effort of our artists as well as our subscribers. Subscribe here to support the next issue.
NEXT SUBMISSION DEADLINE (for Fall 2017 issue):
